Thank you to everyone who participated in this pilot series of creative writing and ethnic studies mini-workshops. I was humbled by the enthusiastic response from the community. Throughout the Artifact Lab, there were current students at CSUSM, former students from CSUSB, mentors, long-time homies, collaborators, and newfound friends and community from various geographies: DC, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, San Diego, San Bernardino, the UK, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Orange County…I’ll be in touch with all those who registered. If you missed this first run, feel free to e-mail me if you’d like updates on future happenings. Keep up with the deep listening, the deep organizing, and keep writing, keep fighting!
Looking forward to writing, sharing, and building with you!
